ELA Program

This program is designed for Elementary and Middle-School Chinese Track students. This comprehensive English Language Arts (ELA) program is based on American ELA Common Core State Standards. Project-based learning is brought into the program, in which children will demonstrate their understanding of language knowledge and skills through theme projects. Annual English Week brings fun but curriculum-linked activities such as poetry, speech, drama, poster, spelling bee, and story-telling to showcase children’s learning results.

Students enrolled in this program are predominately ELA learners with limited English exposure at home. Therefore, teachers will optimize classroom English exposure to provide students with the best possible opportunity to succeed, and parents are strongly encouraged to allocate English reading time at home for their child on a regular basis.
